Then, press the buttons on either side of the plug connected to your i Pod and pull your i Pod out. put the songs you want on your ipod than disconnect is. but be carefull if you decide to reconnect your ipod to your computer if it does not have itune the ipod could wipe everything and start again. install itunes (free download @ apple.com) open itunes from desktop and find a song you want then click "get" or "buy" you will have to type your email and apple password in the box that comes up.it should show the song downloading in the bar at the top of itunes when that is finished, the song should be in your itunes library under music. Before you just disconnect your i Pod from your computer, you need to properly eject it first.
There's also a similar button in i Tunes--I'm not sure where it is, but you should be able to find it with a bit of hunting--but I've read that the button in i Tunes doesn't really work for the majority of Windows users, and that you should use the "Safely Remove Hardware" button instead. (And if you've got a Mac, I have no idea what to tell you.
) Because it's essentially an external hard drive when it's connected to the computer.
Somewhere in the process, it will say on your i Pod screen "Syncing" and you will not disconnect your i Pod attachment cord leading to your computer.
When your i Pod is hooked up to your computer, it and it is continually saying do not disconnect, then you just need to press the eject button under my computer or in i Tunes.
